Unity Queens Inc. was founded in 2018 by Sophia Laster and Brieanna Lightfoot Smith. Together these two women have 10 years of working in the field of youth development and women’s empowerment.

We believe that only the sixty-six books of the Bible are the inspired, and therefore inerrant, Word of God. The Bible is the final authority for all we believe and how we are to live.

We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man, that He was conceived and born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and offered Himself as a penal, substitutionary sacrifice for sinners. By His blood shed at the Cross–, He obtained for us eternal redemption, the forgiveness of sins and life everlasting. He was raised body on the third day and ascended to the right hand of the Father, there to make intercession for the saints forever.

We believe that salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted in order to be saved. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ.

We believe that there is far too much division within the body of Christ as evidenced by the fact that you can run into three different churches on just one street. The Bible says we should share one heart, one mind and one spirit and look out for others needs. Instead of everyone creating their own lane and ministry, we believe we should aim for partnering. We want to see the Queening It program offered at churches across the nations to help ignite change and show both women and men that we’re not as different as one might think, that in many ways we are the same.

Sophia Laster is a Texas native and co-Founder of Unity Queens Inc. She received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arlington in 2010 and in 2011 went on to receive her Real Estate License, positioning her to launch her own company Rountree Mclane Realty LLC. When she’s not helping singles and families find the perfect home, you can find her traveling, watching movies or spending time with her family.

Brieanna Lightfoot Smith was born and raised in Arlington, Texas. She moved from New Orleans in 2018 after 5 years of working with youth, women & teens. Brie is also the author of The Black Girl’s Guide to Living on Purpose and Walking on Water: A 21-Day Devotional on Faith. Her personal mission is to illuminate the truth of God’s word, impact the next generation & inspire global change. When she’s not working on her next book or planning events, you can catch Brie cuddled up on a couch with her husband and their four children.

Danita Summers hails from Omaha, Nebraska where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Danita worked in Corporate America for 5 years before moving to Houston, Texas to serve in the nonprofit sector. Now, she lives in East Dallas and serves as an Operations Director at a primary school. When she’s not at work or hosting a game night with her family you can catch her on a plane, lifting weights or in someone’s pool. As someone who struggled with identity, Danita feels passionately about ensuring women know who they are and whose they are.

Lacoria Provo is the single mother of three beautiful children. A self-proclaimed army brat raised in Germany, New York and Alabama respectively, Lacoria moved to Texas in 2016 and took on a position as a field representative for Ricoh USA. She is passionate about the Unity Queens mission and is excited about helping young women develop their relationship with Christ. If she were to tell a newcomer just one thing it would be “Live your best life!”
Unity Queens Inc. is on a mission to educate, empower and expose women to experiences that help them discover their God given identity and walk in purpose. We offer our program for teens at no cost to them.
